Description

The KStrong IMPAXX CONSTEEL Horizontal Lifeline System is an Engineered, Permanently Installed, Horizontal Lifeline System, designed for use by up to 4 Users simultaneously in Fall Restraint and Fall Arrest.

Floor, wall or overhead mounted into concrete or steel, it allows multiple changes in cable direction, with shuttles passing intermediates and corners without the user needing to disconnect.

FEATURES:

  • Floor, wall or overhead mounted. May be fixed to concrete using Stainless Steel M12 stud(s) & Chemical Adhesive such as Hilti RE-500. May be fixed to steel using Stainless Steel M12 Bolt, Washers and Lock Nut. See User Instruction Manual (UIM) for minimum fixing specifications. Fixings and chemical adhesive not included.
  • This system is strictly for Fall Restraint and Fall Arrest Only, and must never be used for Abseil or Materials Handling. It must be installed and used exactly as prescribed within the User Instruction Manual (UIM).
  • Maximum 4 Users per system, with a maximum of 4 Users per span. Ratings assume a user weight of 100kg (man and tools).
  • Cable spans from 5m minimum to 15m maximum between Extremity Anchors, Intermediates and Corners.
  • Multiple changes in cable direction using 60°, 90° and 120° Corners (floor, wall internal, wall external and overhead) and Variable Intermediates (up to 90° deviation per Variable Intermediate).
  • Standard Shuttle for use where the cable is within reach of the user. Overhead Shuttle must be used on overhead installations where the cable is out of reach of the user and/or a Self Retracting Lifeline (SRL) is connected. Approved for use with KStrong “Brute” & “Vulcan” Series SRLs. Maximum 1 User per Shuttle.
  • Components may deform when the system is impacted by a single or multi user fall. The IMPAXX Standard In-Line Shock Absorber (AFF112100) limits the maximum measured extremity load to 12.85kN.
  • Anchorage Structural Requirement: Extremity Anchors and Corners 26kN; Intermediates 18kN. Extremity Anchors and Intermediates must also resist 18kN applied at right angles to the line. When fixed to concrete, Extremity Anchors must be mounted so the load along the lifeline acts in shear on the fixings.
  • Ø8mm Stainless Steel 7×7 or 7×19 cable. 7×7 cable should always be used for overhead installations. Cable may be joined using the IMPAXX Cable Joiner.
  • Swaged or swageless cable terminations and tensioners. A tensioner must be fitted at each end where a system has more than two corners or exceeds 100m in total length.
  • ATEX certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
